A really easy way to find out how well your message is being received by the online world is to Google your name. Now Google your business name. Now Google what you think is your most valuable product / service. If you’re not near the top of the findings, you’re not being heard. Basically, if you’re not on the internet, you don’t exist. Think about it – what is the first thing you do when you hear about a new company or product? You Google it. So many people ‘Google it’ that Google has become a recognized verb in the English language.
Website:
Priority number one is a website. Whether you’re a vehicle mechanic or a vehicle manufacturer, a beautician or a beauty queen, a website is apriority.
If you don’t have a functional, dynamic website, you need to invest in one immediately. But do your research first. Websites can cost from R400 to R400,000, but the most pricey ones aren’t necessarily the best. A few years ago, people were paying thousands for beautiful “Flash” websites which looked incredible but were not very functional. “Flash” websites aren’t supported on the new tablets (iPads etc…) and they are very expensive to modify and update.
